March Madness
What fills our minds ultimately fills our hearts.
Romans 12:2 Paul tells us not to be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that you may discern what is pleasing to the will of God.
Our biggest struggle with becoming disciplined is changing our behaviors, removing barriers, changing our environments, and filling our minds with excuses when we should be Focused on our goals. We can not harp on things we've lost or become complacent when we feel that the possibility of being great is intangible. Know the difference between self motivation and self discipline
Words have power
1. Focus on identity (mindset shift) speak your desires vs. reality.
Example: instead of getting on the scale and confessing that you are fat or I’m not getting any better start declaring the things you would like to see as though they were.
2. Reminder (why do we want to be healthy)
Remember the set goal
Speak over your goals
Visualize your goals
Write down your goals
Your goals should not be a 2 piece bathing suit because you are worth way more than that… see the bigger picture
3. Embrace the discomfort
Everyday won’t be easy
Understand that the more you stick with the plan, the easier it will become. (DISCIPLINE)
Discipline is a muscle… if you don’t do it you can’t get stronger
It’s a saying that states, "excuses are the tools of the weak and incompetent, they are used to build monuments of nothingness... SO DONT MAKE EXCUSES... MAKE PROGRESS!!
Do the shit that is uncomfortable... early morning workout...turn the tv off... no sugar... be on time... show up even when things in your life hit the fan. Things that are normally Difficult, are usually the very things that builds character and strength.
Whenever you feel like quitting keep pressing toward the mark!!! You got this!!
